Take a step back in time to the Middle Ages at Flemington.
Calling all gallant knights, fair maidens and nobles! On Australian Guineas Day
, a Medieval Kingdom
full of adventure and merriment will arise at Flemington. With dress ups in The Royal Wardrobe, a Knight School and Royal Ball, plus jesters and a jumping castle, the kids will be entertained all day with plenty of medieval fun, all complimentary with your race day ticket.
Best Dressed Competition
Junior racegoers are invited to attend Flemington in their best medieval ensemble for the chance to win a share of $450 in prizes. Competitions will run on the hour beginning at 1pm with the last competition at 5pm. To enter, head to the Registration Desk located in the Medieval Kingdom between 12pm and 4:45pm.
Help protect Flemington by attending Knight School, where kids will learn playful archery and jousting, plus ride horseback on ponies. Train to become a Page and then a Squire, before completing your training to become a Knight.
The Royal Ball
Young Knights and nobles are invited to the King and Queen’s Royal Ball, where there will be jovial music, medieval dancing, games and prizes.
The Royal Wardrobe
Prepare for Knight School and The Royal Ball with face painting and dress up in amour and crowns created through arts and crafts.
The Great Hall
Phar Lap Club
members are invited to feast on The Kingdom’s sumptuous fruit harvest at banquette tables hosted by The King himself. There will also be fun activities and entertainment performed by Court Jesters and treasured treats to takeaway.

members will also receive priority queuing to The Royal Wardrobe, Knights School and The Royal Ball.
