Celebrating with friends and family on Seppelt Wines Stakes Day at Flemington has become a tradition in its own right. Even though it comes at the end of the Melbourne Cup Carnival, the pace and energy is not slowing down. Call your friends, invite your family and let your hair and heels down - just a little - as the racing, entertainment, fashion and fun unfold around you.

Relax your race day look
As the finale to Cup Week, there’s a more relaxed feel to this race day but the style standards are just as high. It’s the perfect opportunity to have a little more fun with outfits and accessories. If entering The Birdcage, Members Car Parks or Members Enclosures be sure to follow the VRC Dress Regulations. Check out our style guide for further fashion inspiration.

Witness sensational racing
The two Group 1 races will provide edge-of-your-seat excitement with the illustrious AUD$2 million Group 1 Seppelt Mackinnon Stakes testing the best middle distance horses at Australia’s premier track, while the famous Flemington straight will witness some of the world’s fastest horses in the AUD$2 million Group 1 Darley Sprint Classic.

Australia’s hottest musicians hit the stage
2019 sees another awesome music lineup in The Park! Fresh new talent, Kian takes the main stage followed by producer Young Franco, who is hot on the tongues of the global electronic music scene.

Families take over the fashion catwalk
It’s a big day for fashion’s future trendsetters at Myer Fashions on the Field with the competition focusing on children and family. Daily Heats and Finals will run from 10.20am – 3.25pm. For further information including registration click here.

The jungle comes alive in Hill Square this Stakes Day. Meet us at The Lodge and come exploring with us, enjoying face painting, entertainment, a silent cinema and much more. Grab a tasty bite
This is your last chance to try the delicious menus from Melbourne’s trendiest eateries in The Park. Take a bite into a creative twist on the humble toasty from The Bearded Jaffle, created by Melbourne FC ruckman Max Gawn and his two brothers. Come and play
With arcade games, photo booths and a carousel, there’s so much to see and do in The Park. It’s a fabulous playground for the young and the young at heart.
