In a first for Australian racing, fans have determined 10 runners of the 14 in the nation’s newest feature race, the $5 million The All-Star Mile (1600m), with a further four wildcard entries. To add to the excitement 14 lucky voters have been selected as Owner Ambassadors who will share in $500,000 in prize money, with a massive $250,000 on offer to the winning Owner Ambassador. Don't miss the pre-race ceremony which will see the the Flemington Mounting Yard host a show like never before!

Off the track, the west end of the Flemington Front Lawn will be turned into a thriving entertainment and foodie haven with live music acts hitting The Elms main stage throughout the day, including six-time ARIA Award winning band Jet with special guest Chris Cheney from The Living End.

Action on the track

Ambassadors for the $5 million The All-Star Mile (1600m).
A field of 14 horses will take centre stage at 5:10pm for the The All-Star Mile (1600m). Race favourite is Godolphin's three-time Group 1-winning mare Alizee (James Cummings, Hugh Bowman) who comes into the race off four consecutive wins, while her stablemate Hartnell (James Cummings, William Buick) will carry the number 2 saddlecloth. The highest rated horse in the field is Happy Clapper (Pat Webster, Blake Shinn) who will appreciate a Winx-free race after running second to the great mare in his two starts this preparation. Receiving five kilos off Hartnell and Happy Clapper will be three-year-old fillies Amphitrite (D & B Hayes & T Dabernig, Craig Williams) and Mystic Journey (Adam Trinder, Anthony Darmanin), the latter a winner of the Group 1 Australian Guineas at Flemington a fortnight ago. Perhaps the best value in the race is Hawkshot (D & B Hayes & T Dabernig, Mark Zahra) who was very brave in the Australian Guineas and should have a trouble-free run as the leader in the race.
