A Hawker Food Market is Popping up at Flemington This February

On Saturday 16th February, Flemington celebrates the influence of Asian culture in Melbourne through experiences focused on food and entertainment. Featuring a hawker-style food market with some of Melbourne’s favourite Asian restaurants, themed entertainment and the return of ‘The Lucky Wall’ with a chance to win some amazing prizes.

While the Lunar New Year celebrations may have ended around the city, Flemington is keeping the festivities rolling. This is what you’ll be able to taste and experience at the Hawker Food Market on Black Caviar, Great Horse Raceday. Located in the breezeway outside Saintly Place.

Mr. Miyagi

Mr. Miyagi has been pushing the boundaries when it comes to Japanese food and drink since 2013 and pride themselves on creating unique and exciting dining experiences. Their menu for Black Caviar, Great Horse Raceday does not disappoint featuring a peking duck souva and wasabi fries.

Wonderbao make traditional steamed buns and gua baos, which just happen to be the fluffiest and tastiest baos in town. They also have unbelievably delicious loaded fries topped with homemade xo chilli sauce, pork floss & spring onion.

As one of the best racedays of the year, they’ll be plenty of excitement on the track. Some of the world’s fastest horses are racing in the Group 1 Black Caviar Lightning (1000m), named after the legendary mare whose stellar career consisted of 25 undefeated races.
