Victoria’s racing industry has collectively taken a number of actions to reduce the spread and impact of COVID-19, including conducting racing on closed courses and imposing strict biosecurity regulations and restrictions to ensure the safety of participants

The Victoria Racing Club is able to welcome owners and a guest (each owner can bring one (1) guest) back to course for Rapid Racing - 29th January 2021.

Owners must pre-register their interest to attend. Only owners with a confirmed runner are able to apply to attend.

The VRC is delighted to be able to welcome owners a step closer to the Mounting Yard action, with the creation of a dedicated alrefsco space to view their runners pre race.

Being COVIDSafe

To maintain the biosecurity of our industry participants, a strict segregation between owners and racing participants is in place meaning access to the Mounting Yard and horse stalls is strictly prohibited.

Flemington is proud to be running a COVIDSafe venue to ensure the safety and comfort of all our members and staff. All owners must comply with the following COVIDSafe requirements.

  • Movement must be kept to a minimum and social distancing must be maintained at all times.  On arrival, please make your way directly to Saintly Place.
  • With masks now mandatory indoors, you will be required to wear in Saintly Place apart from when you are eating or drinking
  • Throughout the day, please stay in your seat unless you are: ordering food and beverages, accessing amenities, betting or viewing your horse from the designated Al Fresco area
  • All food and beverage service will be cashless

While we are excited to take safe steps back to normality, we ask that all owners honour these safety measures to ensure we stay healthy and keep the racing industry operating safely.

  • Saintly Place
  • Al Fresco Area when viewing your horse in the Mounting Yard and register your details on the Victorian Government Services App for contract tracing purposes.

Owners will receive a race book along with a complimentary beverage from the bar menu (retail bar in operation) together with complimentary savoury and sweet snacks to graze on.  A coffee cart will be stationed at the entrance of Saintly Place with a barista making complimentary coffee and tea.
