Kennedy Oaks winner Personal will be freshened for the $500,000 Group 1 Australasian Oaks (2000m) at Morphettville on May 1 following a below-par performance in the Vinery Stud Stakes.
As a result, the filly will bypass Saturday's Australian Oaks at Royal Randwick following her last-start seventh placing.
"She is already back at the farm," co-trainer Ben Hayes explained.
"She didn't handle the travel to Sydney too well and was a bit flat.
"She went hard and they went much quicker time than the other 2000-metre race on the day."
The daughter of Fastnet Rock looked to have come back in good order, having placed in the Vanity and Kewney Stakes.
"She was gassed a bit early so we will ride her a lot more balanced and I would expect a big turnaround in form," said Hayes.
"She is eating up at the farm and seems a very happy horse.
"She has only let us down once, so we will just put it down to one of those days."
Personal has only started in Sydney twice, having also finished 12th in the 2020 Golden Slipper behind Farnan. She has only missed a place once in her 10 Melbourne starts.
