Magic Millions Clockwise Classic winner Readily Availabull will return to Victoria this weekend when John Sargent's colt takes his place in the $200,000 Group 2 MSS Security Sires' Produce Stakes (1400m).
The $25,000 Bullpoint colt collected a lofty purse of $140,000 from his debut win and Sargent is hoping to add black type to his resume on Saturday at Flemington.
"We're coming down to take the Victorian money," Sargent said with a laugh.
"He didn't handle the Heavy track at all so we're coming to get on Good ground.
"He did not have much luck either and I think he is going really well."
Readily Availabull returned from a spell to finish sixth in the Canonbury Stakes on January 30 in Soft 7 conditions when he also struck interference late from a rearward position. He subsequently trialed at Randwick two weeks ago.
"With the time between runs the trial was just a good blowout for him and should have him spot on," Sargent explained.
"I think if he draws in or out we will be going back and looking for a trouble-free run."
Sargent plans to return the colt to Sydney after Saturday's race and run him in the $500,000 G1 ATC Sires Produce Stakes (1400m) at Royal Randwick on April 3.
Sargent will send Readily Availabull to Victoria days after the stable produced Four Moves Ahead to take out last Saturday's G2 Sweet Embrace Stakes at Randwick.
"She has come through the race great," Sargent said.
"There is a bit of improvement to come going into the Golden Slipper in two weeks' time.
"She has always shown us plenty and has the advantage that she can settle on speed and relax.
"We all know they will go like cut cats and she is sensible enough to take a sit behind the speed, which is a big part of it in that race.
"We will sit and watch the Todman this weekend with a few of the key chances running and we might have a bit more of an idea then."
