Michael Poy to ride Sure Knee for Chris Waller on Saturday (Image: Racing Photos)
Fresh from his victory aboard King Of Hastings last Saturday, apprentice Michael Poy is hungry for more Flemington success and boasts a great book of rides on the VRC's Christmas Race Day on Saturday.
Poy will partner a host of good chances, including the well-supported Propelle in Race 3, but the young jockey says no victory would be sweeter than aboard Sure Knee in Race 8, the #LOVETHEHORSE Trophy (1600m).
"To have another ride for Mr Waller (Chris Waller) … I'm really excited," Poy said at Flemington jumpouts on Friday morning.
"He's been good to me, actually I've just done four jumpouts for him at Flemington (this morning).
"I haven't ridden a winner for him yet and I've had some good rides for him so it would be a big thing for me to be able to win on one of his horses."

The summer racing period in Melbourne can be a fruitful time for apprentice jockeys, and Poy believes 'the harder you work, the luckier you get'.
"I'm trying to keep rolling with my claim, trying to get it down to 1.5kg and I'm not too far away from there," he added.
"But you have to be getting the good rides to ride winners.
"There are a lot of good apprentices in Melbourne and if you're not in there trying to do your part then someone else will be.
"I'm getting a lot of support from (different trainers), like Anthony Freedman, I won on King Of Hastings at Flemington last Saturday, and (Mike) Moroney, I had two rides for him on Wednesday.
"Getting out to jumpouts and riding work for trainers never goes astray."
