Nature Strip finally lived up to his rating as one of the world's fastest horses when he blitzed rivals in the Group 1 Darley Sprint Classic.
The speedster is likely to get a chance to prove himself on the world stage as well with trainer Chris Waller confirming plans for a shot at Royal Ascot next year.
In a race where the favourite Santa Ana Lane raced well below his best for fifth place, Nature Strip dominated proceedings up in front for jockey James McDonald.
McDonald finally released the brakes just before the clocktower and Nature Strip zoomed away for a three-and-a-quarter-length win over the filly Loving Gaby, with the mare In Her Time a length-and-a-quarter away in third place.
