Damien Oliver celebrates aboard Miami Bound (Image: Racing Photos)
First, it was the Melbourne Cup and then on Thursday trainer Danny O'Brien took the Kennedy Oaks with Miami Bound after a masterful ride from Damien Oliver.
Miami Bound was displaced as favourite for the Group 1 classic by Gamay but proved far too classy for her fellow fillies as she ran clear in the straight to record a soft victory.
Second was the Scone filly Never Listen in front of Moonlight Maid in third place.
The winner was Oliver's 119th G1 winner and his fifth success in the VRC Oaks.
