Mystic Journey's next start will definitely be in the Group 1 Turnbull Stakes (2000m) on October 5, with Trinder Racing abandoning any plans to give her another run in the lead-up.
Following her G1 Makybe Diva Stakes (1600m) second placing, Adam Trinder had pondered whether to race her in the G1 Underwood Stakes (1800m) on September 29 but confirmed he's staying with his original plan for the mare.
"She's come through exceptionally well from the Makybe and we just wanted to let the dust settle this week before locking in her next run," he said.
"We're going to stay with the Turnbull and then straight into the Cox Plate (2040m), instead of potentially going the Underwood and Caulfield Stakes into the Cox Plate, it would have just been too short between runs."
While sticking with the original plan, the stable confirmed the $7.5m Golden Eagle (1500m) or even the G1 Empire Rose Stakes (1600m) - both to be run on November 2 - are still also options for the four year-old.
