Trainer John Sadler is confident that if Usain Bowler can recapture his best form that he can be a serious contender in the Group 2 Bobbie Lewis Quality at Flemington on Saturday.
Caulfield-based Sadler has been happy with how his five-year-old gelding by So You Think has performed this preparation and thinks off his work on Tuesday he's primed for a big performance.
"His first-up run was really good down the straight of Flemington, he goes really well at the track," Sadler said.
"He worked really well on Tuesday and I think 1200 metres up the straight is the right race for him, whether he's up to Group 2 level, well I guess we'll find out."
Sadler added that a lack of options had forced him to enter his galloper at Group 2 level, but he has no regrets and is excited about the opportunity.
"The idea this time in was to go through our classes and find some Benchmark 90s, but with a lack of options we've had to go a little higher than we would have liked to," he said.
When talking about his chances on Saturday, Sadler kept coming back to his performance at Flemington over the same distance last December.
"On that day he won, plenty of people thought he looked like a Group 1 horse, so if he runs up to that then he has to be a chance," Sadler said.
