Milwaukee on the way to victory at Flemington (Image: Racing Photos)
An agenda composed entirely of straight track features awaits emerging sprinter Milwaukee after he landed a fourth Flemington win in thrilling fashion in Saturday's Grampians Region Handicap (1100m).
Mike Moroney's five-year-old looked out of contention halfway through the $125,000 dash but he rallied late under in-form apprentice Michael Poy to edge out I'm Telling Ya, Holy Blade and a wall of other rivals in a photo finish.

Moroney said the son of Fastnet Rock could back up in next month's Listed All Victorian Sprint Series Final (1200m), while the Aurie's Star Stakes (1200m), the Bobbie Lewis Stakes (1200m) and the G2 Linlithgow Stakes (1200m) on Derby Day were all longer-term options.
"We've worked it out that he doesn't need to leave Flemington for his next four runs," Moroney said.
"We'll space his runs and we'll end up here for the spring.
"The Aurie's Star (Stakes), the Bobbie Lewis (Stakes) and the Salinger (Linlithgow Stakes), those sorts of races."
Poy, who maintained his perfect record on Milwaukee, echoed Moronoey's mid-race doubts and said the Soft 7 conditions paved the way for the galloper to overhaul his rivals in the concluding stages of the race.
