The Victoria Racing Club (VRC) and Myer have officially announced that style expert Dalton Graham will return as the 2018 Myer Fashion on the Field Ambassador, in a year that sees the prize pool double to include a brand new car.

Contestants in this year’s men’s Myer Fashions on the Field competition – judged over the first two days of the Melbourne Cup Carnival - will vie for more than $120,000 worth of prizes including the all-new Lexus UX and a Girard Perregaux Bridges Watch from Kennedy.

Founder of online men’s lifestyle publication The Tailored Man, Dalton is no stranger to Flemington as a long time racegoer, VRC member and last year’s inaugural men’s Myer Fashions on the Field Ambassador.

“It was such an honour to be named Myer Fashions on the Field Ambassador last year, and I’m absolutely thrilled to be able to do it all again this Melbourne Cup Carnival,” Dalton said.

“For me, Myer Fashions on the Field perfectly combines my two great passions – racing and fashion, and I can’t wait to see the looks men pull together for the competition on AAMI Victoria Derby Day and Lexus Melbourne Cup Day.”

Dalton’s first official appearance will be at Flemington on Saturday 6 October for TAB Turnbull Stakes Day, alongside fellow Myer Fashions on the Field Ambassador Kirsten Clemens.

VRC Executive General Manager Customer Engagement Caroline Ralphsmith said the Club was excited to build on the success of last year’s expanded men’s competition.

“The men’s Myer Fashions on the Field competition offers men the chance to show off their classic racewear style on AAMI Victoria Derby Day and their more experimental style on Lexus Melbourne Cup Day.

“This year’s event promises to be even more exciting, with fantastic new prizes from our valued partners including a Lexus, the first time in the competition’s history that both the men and women have the chance to win a car.”

With the winner decided by a panel of fashion experts, the overall winner of the 2018 Men’s Myer Fashions on the Field winner will be lucky enough to take home the all-new Lexus UX, a Girard Perregaux Bridges Watch from Kennedy valued at $49,000, a $2000 TAB Voucher, a $1000 Myer Gift Card and a 32” TCL HD Smart TV.

Racegoers are encouraged to pre-register online for this year’s competition now at flemington.com.au/fotf.

Located in The Park, Flemington’s fashion and entertainment precinct, Myer Fashions on the Field remains Australia’s largest and most prestigious racewear event, and is regarded as the pinnacle of spring fashion.
