Impending is likely to follow stablemate It’s Somewhat to Perth after missing out on a spring Group 1 in Saturday’s Darley Classic (1200m) at Flemington.
Godolphin’s head trainer James Cummings indicated It’s Somewhat would head west for the Group 1 Kingston Town Classic (1800m) providing he came through the Emirates Stakes (2000m) in good order.
With Impending it’s a case of nailing a Group 1 this campaign and because he missed in the Darley when finishing third behind the flying Redzel, it’s now all systems go towards the Winterbottom Stakes (1200m) at Ascot on December 2.
The entire out of Group 1 winning mare Mnemosyne is as low as $5 for the Winterbottom while It’s Somewhat is $11 for the Kingston Town.
