Emirates Stakes Day
Held on the traditional family day on the final Saturday of the Melbourne Cup Carnival, this fun competition allows the next generation of style-conscious racegoers to parade their racewear ensembles on the catwalk. Hill Square encapsulates all the Melbourne Cup Carnival’s glamour, fun and excitement in one location.
Located behind the Hill Stand, adjacent to the Flemington train station, Hill Square is a hive of activity featuring a Super Screen to watch the races, a variety of casual eating areas, outdoor seating, a full range of bookmaker and tote betting facilities, plus live entertainment.
Following his appearance at Emirates Stakes Day Fashions on the Field on Front Lawn East, Australian singer / songwriter Cody Simpson will perform at Hill Square at 3.50pm. He has two hit albums under his belt and has just released his third album Free on his own independent record label, Coast House Records.

Home & Away star Johnny Ruffo will perform live at 4.30pm. Catch Johnny for a meet and greet from 5.10pm.
Nick Jr.’s Dora the Explorer will perform at 12.30pm and again at 2.30pm. Meet Nick Jr.’s Dora the Explorer at 1.40pm and 4pm.
Join in the fun with Nickelodeon’s SpongeBob SquarePants and Patrick Star onstage at 1.15pm and 3.10pm. Catch them for a meet and greet at 2.15pm and in Nickelodeon’s Slime Time Live at 3.50pm.
In addition, there will be a nail bar, inflatables, pony rides, mini golf, animal farm, face painters, balloonists, arts and crafts, outdoor sports and much more!
Food and drink outlets will be available as well as tables and chairs and grass areas for picnic blankets. For mums and dads there will be tote and bookmaker facilities and a large Super Screen to watch the races.
