The last day of the Melbourne Cup Carnival gives kids the chance to strut their stuff at Stakes Day Fashions on the Field.

Since 2004, the next generation of style-conscious racegoers have jostled for best-dressed accolades on the final Saturday of the Melbourne Cup Carnival, traditionally known as family day. Boys and girls have the opportunity to compete in two categories: 6-12 years and 13-17 years.

After seeing the number of stylish families turning up to Stakes Day a family category was introduced in 2011.

Echoing the racedays relaxed atmosphere, the panel of fashion industry representatives and celebrity judges are looking for ‘fashionable and fun’ racewear.
