FAMILY FUN ON STAKES DAY

On Stakes Day racegoers can enjoy a fun, friendly atmosphere with an abundance of free activities for children, as well as great racing. Visit The Lodge at Hill Square for free facing painting and entertainment or head down to the Parade Ring to see the horses. VRC Junior Members are invited to join in the fun at the Junior Members Nursery Hangout or Chill Ville, which features games and competitions throughout the day. With activities and events for children of all ages, Stakes Day is the perfect day out for the whole family.

The jungle comes alive in Hill Square (adjacent to The Park) this Stakes Day. Meet us at The Lodge and come exploring with us, enjoying face painting, yummy treats, entertainment and much much more. Phar Lap Club members will be welcomed with a special goodie bag and will enjoy priority entry to shows and activities.

Need a place to relax for a few minutes and let the kids recharge? Come down to The Lodge Outdoor Cinema, located in Hill Square (adjacent to The Park) and relax in a bean bag with popcorn in hand. All ages movies showing all day, weather permitting.

Visit the Parade Ring to get up close to the champions of the track. Horse will be in stalls and parading throughout the day.

VRC Members can enjoy a day of family fun with an abundance of activities in the Junior Members Nursery Hangout or book into one of the the Junior Members events or Phar Lap Club Party on Stakes Day.

Head down to the Nursery Kids Zone and enjoy fun games and activities by Kelly Sports include group sporting games, jumping castles, inflatable obstacle course, face painting and balloon artists.

The Kids Disco Party in the Nursery Kids Zone will be filled with lots of fun, dancing, singing and games!

Parenting facilities are available in both the public and members areas.

I have a young child where can I get a Young Child Wristband?

Racegoers who attend with small children have the ability to place a wristband with the guardian/parents name and mobile number to assist in reconciliation if the child becomes lost.

These wristbands are available from entrances and wristbanding booths.
