Kristen Whittle (Architect and Director) and Jeffrey Copolov (Interior Design Director) will present the Club Stand's progress to date and take you inside the Club Stand for a first look at some of the interiors of the ground floor plus the new look Betting Ring. There will also be the opportunity to ask questions and meet them afterwards.

Taking place on National Hall of Fame Raceday, Saturday 20 May, the event will be held in the Skyline, Level 3 of the Hill Stand. The main presentation and opportunity to ask questions will take place prior to the start of the racing program for any Members who wish to watch the first race at 11:45am.

Complimentary light refreshments will be available upon arrival and after the presentation and will continue to be served until 12:15pm for any Members who wish to remain until the conclusion of the event. The event will be recorded and posted to our website at a later date for Members who are unavailable to attend.* 

Please note that the content of this event relates to the ground floor and new look Betting Ring of the Club Stand only. The next Meet the Makers event will take place in July, where more will be unveiled.

TICKET COLLECTION & ENTRY: Wristbands will be issued after registration via the post until 2:30pm Monday 15th May. After this time, Members are requested to nominate their preferred entry point (Members Main Gate, Hill Gate or Train Station) to collect their wristbands upon arrival. Members will be asked to present their wristband to Event Staff at the door.

Award-winning designer Kristen Whittle, director at Bates Smart, has led his team in designing and building some of the most recognisable projects in Melbourne, notably the Royal Children's Hospital and Crown Metropol.  


Interior Design Director at Bates Smart, Jeff is one of Australia's most talented interior designers. With over 30 years experience, he has delivered designs for reputable brands including Crown Towers, Promenade Hotel and Metropol, and more recently the interiors of 35 Spring Street.

Photography and Videography: Footage and photographs of Members may be taken at this event and may appear in Club publications, brochures and videos. Please advise the photographer and videographer if you do not wish to be photographed. Photographers and Videographers are asked to respect Members’ wishes in this regard, but any Member may nevertheless be incidentally included as part of a crowd or background.
