In perfect partnership with the horses they ride, the jockey directs the action on course as they bring every race to thrilling life with skill, risk, passion and commitment.
This incredible history of talent will be honoured and celebrated at the 2021 National Jockeys Trust Race Day.
The day is an enjoyable way to raise awareness and funds for the National Jockeys Trust (NJT), which works to help support injured or ill jockeys and their families.
The racing highlight of the day is the Listed Hilton Nicholas Straight Six, an open sprint held under handicap conditions down

Zone 1 covers the Members Enclosure, including Members Lawn and Members Betting Ring, plus The Club Stand and The Grandstand, and offers pre-paid dining, reserved and unreserved spaces.
On advice from the Victorian Government due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, all patrons attending race day will be required to provide their name and mobile number in order to gain access to the race day. This information will be used for contact tracing purposes and forms part of our overall COVIDSafe government requirements.
Course entry will require a barcoded ticket. Members will be able to use their membership card to access the course and guests of members will require a Ticketek barcoded ticket.
PLEASE NOTE: Due to contact tracing requirements, annual guest cards or Racing Rewards Complimentary Guest Passes will not be accepted on race day, Members can book free-to-book member reserved or free-to-book member unreserved tickets for guests via Ticketek, ensuring guest details are provided during the booking process.
Everything you need to know about Zone 1
Spend the day moving freely through the Members Enclosure with access to the Members Lawn and Members Betting Ring, all unreserved venues within The Club Stand and The Grandstand, plus the internal and external seating decks across both grandstands.
General admission spaces are located in Zone 2 and we have two ticketing types – reserved and unreserved ticketing – within this zone.
Reserved tickets provide you with a booked venue for the day. These include The Terrace Restaurant and the Hill Stand Suites.
Unreserved tickets provide you with access to the racecourse, along with access to food, bars, entertainment and betting facilities within The Lounge in Saintly Place, the Lawn Stand outdoor seating deck and the Front Lawn with rails access. Take in all the racing action from any of these great locations on course.
