Competitive racing, cold brews and chic picnics.

The summer racing fun continues at Headquarters, as a quality line up of off-season gallopers compete in the Listed Chester Manifold Stakes. The 1400m event named in honor of former VRC Chairman Sir Chester Manifold is the highlight on a competitive nine-race card.

Sticking with the relaxed summer theme, you’ll enjoy a later start for the first race as they run into the early evening.

Take in the thrilling action on the track while enjoying brews and beverages in the Front Lawn Beer Garden. Grab a reserved table for you and your crew with access to super-fresh food served straight from Melbourne’s tastiest food trucks, live music and entertainment.

A chic picnic amongst our famous rose gardens is always a lovely way to spend a summer race day. Bring your own picnic spread, or purchase from nearby food outlets and bars. Enjoy acoustic tunes and family friendly lawn games. And for an extra dose of magic, step inside the iconic golden-winged bar.
