Flemington Finals Day Race Day is the pinnacle of the 2020 Winter Race Series, bringing together the most in-form gallopers across a range of divisions and distances.
The exciting nine-race program features the finals of nine separate race series, including the feature final of the VRC-CRV Winter Championship, the All Victorian Sprint Series Final, and Taj Rossi Series Final – each of which is a Listed race – as well as the $120,000 final of the Mahogany Challenge for three-year-old stayers and the newly introduced Next Generation Sprinters series for two-year-olds.

The Winter Race Series concludes at Flemington Finals Day– a day that upholds the rich tradition of winter racing at Headquarters. Many of the day’s races are inspired by past greats of the turf or figures with a deep connection to racing.
The first direct radio race call from Flemington was broadcast on 4th July 1925. The results of the 1924 Melbourne Cup had been broadcast on the new medium of wireless radio, but on this day was the first direct description of a race at Flemington.
