Courage and talent will be on display at Flemington as fearless jockeys and heroic steeds hit the track, while young knights and maidens experience the merriment of the middle ages with fun-filled activities for families.
The day boasts a blue-blooded, Group 1 line-up featuring the Group 1 $1,000,000 Kennedy Australian Guineas (1600m). Witness valiant racing with the best three-year-olds in training charging to the Winning Post in this stallion-making race.
Families can take a step back to the middle ages as The Elms transforms into a Medieval Kingdom, full of adventure for kids of all ages. Arrive in costume to enter the Best Dressed Competition or use arts and crafts to create your own amour and crowns. Enrol in Knights School where you will learn playful archery and jousting, plus ride horseback on ponies. Attend The Royal Ball with jovial music and dancing. Laugh gaily at performances from jesters and sorcerers or bounce back in time on the jumping castle. All activities complimentary with your race day ticket.
Don’t miss Brews & Brisket at the Lawn Bar, offering a range of mouth-watering slow cooked dishes along with craft beers, cocktails, wine and sparkling. In The Atrium VRC members and guests can enjoy complimentary hair and make-up touch ups at the Pamper Lounge, while our pint-sized punters will be kept entertained with fun indoor activities.
Champions of the turf Apache Cat (Stall 86) & Who Shot Thebarman (Stall 87) will be joining us at Flemington to meet their fans. Meet these legends as they parade around the Mounting Yard after race 2 (1:10pm) and race 4 (2:20pm).

Calling all gallant knights, fair maidens and nobles! Step back in time to the middle ages in The Elms on the west end of the Front Lawn, as it transforms into a Medieval Kingdom. With dress ups in the The Royal Wardrobe, a Knight School and Royal Ball, plus jesters and a jumping castle, the kids will be entertained all day with plenty of medieval fun.
Brews & Brisket is taking over the Lawn Bar, offering a range of mouth-watering slow cooked dishes along with craft beers, cocktails, wine and sparkling. Plus with plenty of seating, shade and tunes, it’s one of the best spots at Flemington to witness the thrill of every race.
Witness every finish while relaxing with mates in The Lounge inside Saintly Place West. With quick access out to the Winning Post, billiards and foosball, craft beers and pub-food favourites, The Lounge is a great spot to enjoy all the racing action.
Keep your look gorgeous and fresh throughout the race day with complimentary hair and make-up touch ups for members and guests at the Pamper Lounge in The Atrium of The Grandstand.
The Orchard Bar returns to The Atrium, serving up a curated cocktail menu inspired by the autumn harvest.
