Open throughout the year the Flemington Heritage Centre and Guided Walking Tours program gives people the opportunity to experience the heritage, the heroes and the events that have made Melbourne Cup the "race that stops a nation" ™ and Flemington Racecourse one of the most famous racecourses in the world.

Priceless artefacts from the Club's archives, dynamic and emotional video interactives and multimedia experiences bring to life the drama and excitement that is Flemington. Our new state-of-the-art Flemington Heritage Centre, exclusive retail outlet (where you have the opportunity to purchase the History of Australian Thoroughbred Racing books amongst other items) and luxurious Vinery café is a must see Melbourne attraction.
Flemington Guided Walking Tours
Take a guided tour of this unique and world renowned facility and relive some of Australia's great sporting moments. Walk amongst the roses in the largest public rose garden in the Southern Hemisphere, explore behind the scenes in the jockey and stewards rooms, and visit the stunning stalls complex.
An audio translation is offered for the Guided Walking Tour in Japanese, Korean and Mandarin.
Melbourne Cup Walk of Fame
Champions become legends by winning the Melbourne Cup. At Flemington those legends are honoured in the Melbourne Cup Walk of Fame. Amble down through the years from Archer's first win in 1861 to last years winner, surrounded by the stunning Flemington Rose Arbour.

In addition to the standard Guided Walking Tour a "behind the scenes" look at a working stable can be added.
growing of the roses - garden outing
Join Flemington's "keeper of the roses" and learn about cultivating healthy roses, pruning and the varieties of roses at Flemington. Flemington roses bloom in early January, March, November and around Anzac Day in April. Tour includes morning or afternoon tea and entry into the Racecourse of Dreams exhibition. Price -$22.50 per person.

Heritage Centre
Monday to Friday 9.00am - 4.00pm. Tours depart at 10.30am and 2.00pm daily (tour duration approximately one hour), or by appointment.
Racedays: Gate opening – last race. Tours depart half an hour before races 2, 3, 4, and 5 from the Heritage Centre.
Vinery café
Monday to Friday: 8.30am – 4.00pm.
Racedays: Gate opening – last race.

How to Get to Flemington Heritage Centre
The Flemington Heritage Centre is located behind the Phar Lap statue, to the left of the first roundabout on Flemington Drive. Ample parking is available.
